These terms govern the use of the website strokeaction.org, published by the association Stroke Action (« Action AVC »), a Cameroonian non-profit, secular, and apolitical association whose purpose is to help reduce the burden of stroke in Cameroon, in Africa, and worldwide.
By browsing this site, you accept these terms. If you disagree with any of them, please do not use the site.

The content of this site — including the « Stroke Education » pages and the « Did You Know? » campaign — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and does not replace consultation with a healthcare professional.

The logo, visual identity, texts, and documents published on this site are the property of Stroke Action, unless otherwise stated. Some images used on the site come from third-party image libraries and remain subject to their respective authors' rights; they are not the property of Stroke Action. Any reproduction of the site's content for commercial purposes is prohibited without prior written authorization. Documents in the « Key Documents » section (bylaws, internal regulations, reports, etc.) may be freely downloaded and shared for informational purposes, provided the source is credited.
4 · Personal data and cookies
Personal information collected through this site's forms (contact, membership, donation) are used by Stroke Action to process your requests. They are never sold, rented, or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data by writing to contact@strokeaction.org.

5 · Membership and member area
Any membership application submitted via the site is processed in accordance with the Bylaws and Internal Regulations: review by the Executive Board, followed by validation by the General Assembly. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering. Active member status is reserved for persons aged 18 years or older.
6 · Online donations
Once activated, the donation module will allow contributions to the association's activities via Mobile Money or bank card, through a secure third-party payment provider. Except in the case of a proven technical error, donations are non-refundable. The association's resources are used exclusively to fulfill its purpose, in accordance with its Bylaws.
7 · User behaviour
Any use of the site for illegal or fraudulent purposes, or in a manner that damages the image of Stroke Action or third parties, is prohibited. The same standards of courtesy and integrity that apply to members of the association (Internal Regulations, Article 5) apply to anyone interacting with the site.
8 · Links to third-party sites
The site may contain links to third-party sites (social media, partners, scientific sources). Stroke Action is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
9 · Limitation of liability
Stroke Action makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information published, but does not guarantee that the site is error-free or uninterrupted. Use of the site is at your own risk. Stroke Action cannot be held liable for direct or indirect, material or immaterial damages resulting from access to the site or the inability to access it (outages, network attacks, viruses, hacking).

11 · Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Cameroonian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to reach an amicable solution before pursuing any legal action before the competent courts.
